We can hardly believe it’s July already and it’s been a year full of highlights!
February
brought us an amazing funding boost thanks to Garry Arnott, uncle of PlayPeace members Thomas and Charlotte, who so generously “braved the shave” to benefit us when faced with alopecia. Garry raised an incredible sum of just over £3000 which boosted our funds for the easter and summer holidays!
April
saw our team of four mums take on the Glasgow Kiltwalk Mighty Stride and they enjoyed glorious sunshine !We are really grateful for the all the support, donations and kind messages sent that kept us going – our team completed the 22.3 miles Mighty Stride, intact!
We were lucky enough to be selected by Kiltwalk as a featured charity, met the main man Sir Tom Hunter and got a boost of £5000 as a result! That means that PlayPeace funds were boosted by over £7000 !
Family Fun
Of course the families were busy too especially our PlayPeace kids, who enjoyed a packed Easter programme including Easter Monday with the Easter Bunny and a family Glow party …
